Recipe: Homemade Matcha cake

 

We have tried several Matcha cake recipes and this is our favourite.

 

Ingrdients

200 g 

Flour

125-150 g

Sugar 

8 g

Vanilla Sugar 

150 ml

Sunflower Oil 

3

Eggs 

100 ml

Milk or Cream

12 g 

Matcha 

1 level teaspoon

Baking Powder

Butter to grease

Matcha cake

Working time: approx. 20 minutes

Baking time: approx. 35-40 minutes

Temperature: 160 ° C

Difficulty level: easy

 

Preparation

Mix 8g of vanilla sugar and 200g of flour, 1 tsp of baking soda, 10-15g of matcha and 75g of sugar in a bowl.

Separate two eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff and add 50 g of sugar.

Beat the sunflower oil, yolk of the two eggs and the third egg until frothy, adding the milk or cream. Add flour, baking powder, matcha and 100 g of sugar. Stir in the stiffly beaten egg whites.

Put into a greased baking dish * and bake at 160 ° C for approx. 35 minutes.
